READ: INSTRUCTIONS AND SUGGESTIONS

1. The books are designed so that you can go about a daily task while your child completes the activity. More specifically, we thought about dinner time during the week. While you prepare the meal, the child colors, thinks about the story and ponders certain questions, giving him a time of entertainment, concentration and learning, away from screens. At mealtime, you take what your child has completed and thought about to make it a family activity of exchange and discussion on subjects important to your child's education, at the same time further rooting the family unit.

2. It is preferable to answer the questions at the end of the book in writing, your child will develop his writing skills and will be able to better organize his thought. In addition, writing encourages reflection and contemplation. Let your child take his time: the goal is for him to develop his intelligence and reason, not for him to be an automaton giving good answers. You can of course help your child, guide him in his thinking, it is important that it is a family activity. Your child can also answer the questions orally, without writing down his thought: the questions are intended to motivate exchange, discussion, and for the family to be a center of moral reflection. You can use the questions in the book to discuss as a family, after a weekend meal for example, away from screens.

3. The questions have been designed for children aged between 6 and 14 years old. It is possible that some questions may seem too advanced. You will just have to help your child understand, even if it means adapting the question to his age or level.

4. IMPORTANT: The section on moral questions will require more intellectual effort, concentration and reflection on the part of your child. We have designed the moral questions in a way that your child will request your help. We assist with orientation, subject matter and themes, but the responsibility for moral education lies with parents, in whom children find the kindness and authority they need. We have composed the questions in an order that supports progression: each question allows your child to acquire the light that illuminates his thought for the next question.

5. You can leave out some questions, just let your child have fun and enjoy the story. Questions are an extra to help your child develop. But it is important to put in the effort, thus elevate his spirit.

6. For coloring, it is preferable to use colored pencils made of wood or wax; the ink of the markers can show through on the other side of the sheet.

7. Since the book tells a story, inevitably the same characters come back during the coloring activity. We include new elements as often as possible so that your child does not have to color the same things.
A tip for the characters: you can suggest to your child that he varies the colors to color the characters according to the situation, emotions or ideas that affect the characters; in addition to breaking the repetition, your child will thus be led, without realizing it, to make a reflective effort.

8. You can use the book in different contexts. Here are some ideas:
- Before going to bed, you can ask your child to summarize the story, to clarify what he has learned, to continue a discussion started earlier or you can ask him new questions; your child will fall asleep with lots of ideas in mind, will dream and will wake up with new intuitions.
- While going out for a walk, in the car or on public transport, you can approach different themes, think with your child and develop them with him; this will strengthen the bonds and your child will feel that you care about his education.
- Or by organizing a "debate" session at home by inviting your child's friends; everyone reads the story, prepares some questions and discusses them, with you as moderator; this will make the home a center of activity and strengthen the bonds between families.

9. The important thing is that your child learns and brings the family back to the center of his life, making it source of his identity, security, home.
