PUBLISH: COLLECTIONS AND SERIES

 

Origen Creations offers two collections of educational books: Reading and Coloring, if the book contains a coloring activity or not (as we specified in the article: Create: books, animations, courses); and two sub-collections, namely Think, learn and Imagine, see.

We chose to create this division to offer more fantastic, entertaining educational books with lighter content, but without changing the mission of Origen Creations: the moral education of children.

Think, learn offers more thoughtful, serious stories, always involving dialogues and often texts, calling for more sustained concentration and a finer analysis.

Imagine, see focuses on situations, sometimes involving dialogues and texts, according to a more playful and imaginative approach, offering a more sober reflection and analysis.

Each of these two sub-collections is available in the same series, namely:

- The Original series: We develop a specific theme by articulating it only within an original story, that is to say that we do not insert other texts, whether it is a tale, a myth, a biography or other. The child is led to reflect on moral questions by analyzing and meditating only on the story that we have created.

- The Tale series: We draw inspiration from a tale, a short story or a text from classic literature to invent an original story in which we insert it. Or we design an original story in which we incorporate a text that serves the purpose. In both cases, we want the child to discover classic texts by meditating on them and exploring them in depth according to the story in which they are integrated and which gives them a context that allows the child to understand and apply them more concretely, the story relating more current or immediately accessible situations. The story that we give to read and the classic text respond to each other.

- The Tell me the story series: We follow the same general pattern as the Tale series, but the inserted texts can be a tale, a myth, a biography, a historical event or other, whose role of telling the story is entrusted to a character, around whom we build an original story. For example, the books of Color, think, learn, bearing the title: Grandpa, tell me the story, develop from the original story of a grandfather suffering from incurable cancer, whose family will try to convince him to accept the transplant of his head to a robotic body. The grandfather resists. Only his granddaughter understands him and asks him to share his wisdom so that she can perpetuate this legacy. The first books in the series are entitled: Grandpa, tell me the story of Plato's myths.

- The Hero series: We based the structure on the same model as the Tale series, but instead of inserting a classic text, we stage the life of a hero, either legendary or historical.

- The History series: We adopt the same framework as the Hero series, but we focus on an important historical event rather than the life of a hero.

- The Good Manners series: We follow the same general pattern as the History series, but we focus specifically on the rules of good manners. We notice that etiquette, politeness, and good manners are increasingly absent among today's youth.

- The Traditions series: We follow the same model as the Tale series, but we borrow a text relating a myth, a religious event, a legend, a custom.

- The Heritage series: We rely on the History series, but rather than dealing with a historical event, we explore the heritage of a particular nation, its architecture, its buildings, its important places.

- The Nature series: We use the same framework as the Heritage series, but we introduce the child to what makes up nature, from forests to gardens, the sea and all what is part of nature.

- The Languages ​​series: We stick to the model of the Good Manners series, but we perfect the mastery of natural language: grammar, spelling, style, rhetoric.

- The Sciences series: We borrow the same pattern as the Languages ​​series, but we reinforce the notions of mathematics, physics, biology and chemistry.
